There are those who claim that to reveal the long held secrets of Stepping Stones to the world at large is sacrilege. There are some who have even suggested that there is a curse associated with such disclosures. However, the editors feel that this is mostly an unfounded superstition and that the revelation at this time of such insights is important in the course of world history. Thus there are risks involved. The story that Antonia Salieri poisoned Mozart as retribution for revealing the secret rituals of Stepping Stones in his opera The Magic Flute may or may not be true. But stories that Al Gore’s loss in the 2000 US presidential elections was engineered by irate fellow Stoners in response to Mr. Gore’s claim that he invented the Internet are probably accurate.
